We are pleased to announce that British Blind Baseball has become an affiliated organisation member of the British Baseball Federation, the national governing body of baseball in the United Kingdom.

Introduced to the United Kingdom in 2019, blind baseball has experienced rapid growth across the country, bringing an accessible version of baseball to the visually impaired. The national side won a silver medal at the 2022 WBSC International Cup as well as Bronze the following year in the European Championships. In 2024 GB hosted the International Cup at Farnham Park.

“Blind baseball is growing here in Great Britain and across the globe and through the affiliation we are delighted to be able to support all the athletes, coaches, umpires and volunteers who work so hard to develop the sport here,” said BBF President Richard Evans.

British Blind Baseball will be recognised as the responsible body for Blind Baseball within the United Kingdom under the BBF.

“British Blind Baseball are excited to be part of the wider Baseball community. Working together with the federation gives so many opportunities for the blind and sighted games, baseball is the true winner” said John Eaton, Team GB Head Coach

The primary objective of both parties is to facilitate the participation of the Great Britain blind baseball team in the Paralympics while simultaneously fostering the expansion of the sport throughout the United Kingdom.
